Mr. Watson, is a career security professional, author, teacher, speaker and consultant specializing in the areas of organizational security, education and crisis management. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Long Island University, A Masters in Criminal Justice from Boston University and a Masters of Education from the University of Massachusetts. Scott is a Certified Protection Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner and a frequent speaker at professional conferences.
Over the course of his career, Scott has worked in such sectors as; contract security and investigations, education, financial services, biotechnology and consulting.
His teaching experience includes his current duties as an Adjunct Instructor for American Military University and past experience as an Adjunct Instructor for Boston University. In addition, Scott has lead professional seminars, been a substitute teacher at the high school level and served as a subject matter expert on various course development projects.
Scott has written numerous professional articles, as well as a book entitled
The Art of War for Security Managers. He has also co-authored a chapter in
Security Supervision and Management, 3rd Edition and contributed an entry to the
Encyclopedia of Security Management, 2nd Edition.
Scott is a member of ASIS International where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council, a member of the Cultural Properties Council and a member of the Houses of Worship Working Group. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Christian Security Network, a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a member of the Northeast Disaster Recovery Information Exchange.
Scott’s service to his home church has included serving as an Elder, Youth Group Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Missions Team Leader, as well as an advisor on security related issues and events.
